The Cantina
Ground floor, in a converted mechanic's garage. Lunch, dinner, craft cocktails, full bar — and a TACOS sign you can spot from the street. Loud in all the right ways.
Our Story · 2020 N Monroe, Spokane
Uno Más started as a taco shop. It grew into something bigger — a modern Mexican kitchen and tequila bar where the food is serious and the vibe is anything but. In 2024 we took an empty Monroe Street garage down to the studs and rebuilt it, by hand, into three rooms under one roof.
The short version
We opened in 2022 as a Spokane taco shop. The tacos were good enough that people kept coming back — and kept asking for one more. So we gave them one: a bigger room, a full bar, a real tequila list, and a kitchen that takes modern Mexican seriously.
In 2024 we found an empty mechanic's garage on North Monroe and built the whole thing by hand — a cantina downstairs, a speakeasy up top, a patio out back. Doors opened December 27, 2024. We've been a little loud ever since.
"The food is serious. The vibe is not."
The build · 2024
A worn-down Monroe Street garage — raw cinderblock, a concrete shell, and a lot of imagination.

We stripped it back to bare concrete and steel. A clean slate to build on.

Walls went up and the footprint of three venues — cantina, Mezzanine, patio — took shape.

We weren't building one room — we were building three. Upstairs became The Mezzanine: a speakeasy and private-event loft. The room for the nights that matter.

Drywall, the bar, the fireplace, polished floors and paint. The cantina started to feel like the cantina.

Neon lit, agave mural up, patio under string lights. Three years on Monroe and counting — the food is serious, the vibe is not.

Who we are
Tacos are something we do exceptionally well — they're not the whole story. Under one roof on Monroe, we built three distinct rooms, each with its own energy. The only thing we take lightly is ourselves.
